Ohalo, a leader in unstructured data governance, is thrilled to announce a $3.5 million growth capital investment from YFM Equity Partners (YFM) and existing investors. This funding marks a significant milestone in Ohalo's mission to enhance data governance and security worldwide.

Since its inception in 2017, Ohalo has been dedicated to helping organizations store, analyze and share unstructured data with greater efficiency and security. Our data intelligence platform, Data X-Ray, enables users to map, classify, redact, and monitor potentially billions of unstructured data files swiftly, reducing risks associated with data theft, leakage, and non-compliance.

With headquarters in London and an additional office in Atlanta, Georgia, Ohalo has experienced substantial growth driven by increasing demands for data compliance and security solutions. Ohalo has grown to become trusted by some of the largest and most secure organizations globally, including prominent banks and the UK Home Office.

Commenting on YFM's investment, Ohalo CEO, Kyle DuPont said: "YFM's backing will help us to enter an exciting new period of growth, strengthening our foundations so that we can continue to build a company for the long term. As innovators in our field, we are always striving to help organizations create order out of unstructured data chaos. With YFM's support, we can now take our solutions to a wider client base, globally."

Roshan Puri, YFM Investment Director, added: "Ohalo is operating in a burgeoning marketplace, which is subject to increasing demand. It's estimated by Gartner that 20% of all organizations will use software to monitor and control their unstructured data by 2026. With YFM's backing there is a significant opportunity for Ohalo to capitalize upon this, having already carved out an excellent reputation for service delivery and tech innovation. We look forward to seeing the company continue to thrive and expand."

The investment process involved numerous advisers, including Sheridans providing legal advice to Ohalo. This partnership with YFM underscores our commitment to expanding our reach and impact in managing unstructured data globally.

Enterprises with billions of files need to understand their data at scale for privacy and security use cases ranging from AI governance, to data migrations, to records and retention management, to regulatory compliance and more. Ohalo's Data X-Ray platform delivers unparalleled accuracy in data discovery, classification, and redaction. Now, with the high growth of Generative AI in the enterprises, organizations are able to unlock the 80% of data in their data estates that is unstructured, and Data X-Ray's newest module is providing an LLM Access Security Broker to unlock this data. This newest module leverages Data X-Ray's core capabilities to curate, secure, audit, and manage Generative AI driven applications.
